⒈ 佛教语。谓从反面来说明事理。与“表詮”共称二诠。如说盐,不淡是遮,云咸是表;说水,不干是遮,云湿是表。而谓遮者遣其所非,表者显其所是。
引汤用彤《汉魏两晋南北朝佛教史》第二分第十六章:“《般若》之遮詮,即所以表《湼槃》之真际。明乎《般若》实相义者,始可与言《湼槃》佛性义。”
